Farmview Cottage is a boutique privately owned property, offering an idyllic location for a limited number of small Weddings per year. Whether it's an intimate elopement, micro wedding, ceremony or reception, a small gathering, or just a place to stop off for your photos, our generous grounds offer flexibility to create unforgettable moments.
 We are conveniently located on the picturesque Atherton Tablelands, between Atherton, Yungaburra Village & Kairi, and only minutes to Lake Tinaroo, giving your guests an abundance of accommodation choices. Farmview Cottage sits on 1.5 acres of land with lush gardens & breathtaking views of country farmlands making the perfect backdrop for your dream Wedding.

About The Property

  • Farmview Cottage is a Dry Hire Venue meaning, a venue that just offers a location for hire, without any other facilities such as staff, entertainment, catering, flowers, public toilets, decorations, etc which means you have the freedom to create your dream wedding. We only offer 6 weddings per year and a maximum capacity of 50 guest. 

  • We ask that you have a day planner to ensure your event runs smoothly, we recommend Hire A Bestie . The Hirer must nominate two (2) responsible persons to conduct all guests during the event. The Responsible persons must over 18 years of age, be known to guests and be capable to wrap up the night. 

  • We highly recommend that the Bride and Groom take out wedding insurance, an invaluable investment for those unexpected hiccups on your special day.

  • We welcome Food & Beverage Trucks, because whats a celebration without good food and drinks. Vendors must carry & provide us with current insurances prior to the Event. Please ask them to email us at becnbren@outlook.com

  • Service of Alcohol must be provided by a Licensed RSA Vendor eg: The Bedford Bar/Audrey Winkle/Lu's Crew and must be wrapped up 10:30pm. The venue must be vacated promptly by 11:00pm. 

  • The surrounding farmlands do not belong to us, so we kindly ask that everyone follows a “Look and Don’t Touch” approach. Thank you in advance! 

  • For everyones safety we are strictly a No Fire (naked flame) and No Glass venue. Please ask your vendors to provide plastic cups only. 

  • We are located on a beautiful single lane country road, which means we have very limited onsite parking. Bus transfers for your guests to and from town is a requirement.

elopements and micro weddings

  • Looking for something small, something unique and deeply personal, discover the charm of an intimate union without sacrificing the glamour and romance. In the serene countryside, our picturesque venue sets the stage for you to plan your romantic celebration of love. Say 'I do' with just you two, or share the moment with your nearest and dearest. Enjoy a table for 10 under our Mahogany tree or skip off for celebration dinner at your chosen location. Stroll our grounds with your photographer and capture magical moments and lasting memories.

Ceremony or reception or both

  • Ceremony only...perfect! Your guests can enjoy overlooking beautiful farmlands while experiencing the magic of your special moment.

  • Reception only...thats an option too! Farmview Cottage provides a spacious setting for your guests to mingle, savour chilled drinks, enjoy lawn games, or simply soak in the scenic surroundings. We have a maximum capacity of 60 guests.

  • Want it all in the one location..easy done! From ceremony to reception we've got the space to make your wedding unforgettable. Farmview Cottage offers a seamless transition from saying 'I do' to celebrating your love with friends and family. Our picturesque setting provides a versatile canvas to design your dream wedding. 
  • Venue Hire Fee, as everyone's event is unique, there is 'no one price fits all'. Please contact us to chat about your event.
  • Deposit of 20% of your quoted price must be paid within seven (7) days of a tentative booking
  • Security Bond of $500 is added to your final invoice and refund post your event pending a grounds inspection 
  • Excessive Cleaning Fee post event of $100 may be charged if disposal of rubbish is required.

  • Not getting married! We'd love you to make use of our beautiful grounds to capture family photos sessions, engagement photos or even graduation photos. Get in touch today.
